This Privacy Policy explains how MorseCodeGenerator.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use this website (the “Service”).

Quick summary

• The translator runs locally in your browser. We do not require accounts or logins to use the tool.
• We use analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand general usage (for example, which pages are popular).
• We may show ads (Google AdSense). Ads and analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers depending on your settings and region.

Information we process

1) Information you provide

If you contact us by email, you provide your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to respond. Contact: morsecodegenerator@gmail.com.

2) Usage data (analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure and improve the Service. GA4 may collect information such as: page views, approximate location, device/browser information, and interaction events. GA4 does not log or store IP addresses; location is derived from the IP at collection time and the IP is then discarded.

Our host, Cloudflare, also provides Cloudflare Web Analytics on every page. It is cookieless, does not use local storage or fingerprinting, and reports only aggregate traffic and page-performance figures to us. 3) Advertising data (AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display ads. AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure performance. Depending on your region and settings, Google may serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

On this site no advertising script loads and no advertising cookie is set until you choose Accept all in the cookie banner (see below).

3a) Affiliate links (Amazon, eBay)

Some pages recommend products through affiliate links. Clicking one takes you to that retailer's own site, which may set its own cookies so the purchase can be credited to us. No affiliate cookie is set on this site. The reports we receive show clicks and the products ordered through those visits, but never who placed an order — no name, email or address. What happens on the retailer's site is covered by its policy:

4) Translator input

The translator runs in your browser. We do not intentionally collect the text you type into the translator through the website’s own servers. However, remember that your browser, extensions, operating system, or third-party scripts may still have access to what you type.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Analytics and advertising providers may use cookies, local storage, or similar identifiers for measurement, fraud prevention, and ad delivery.

Cookie consent banner & Google Consent Mode

On your first visit you'll see a banner asking you to choose between Accept all (analytics + ads cookies enabled) and Essential only (nothing loaded). Your choice is stored locally as mcg-consent in your browser's localStorage — not in a server-side cookie — and is honoured on every subsequent page load.

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Before you choose, all storage and advertising signals default to denied: no cookies or other identifiers are written to your device. In this state Google Analytics sends only cookieless, non-identifying signals that Google uses to model aggregate usage — we never receive or store anything that identifies you. Cookies and personalized/measurement storage are enabled only if you click Accept all. If you click Essential only, we treat it as a full opt-out and load no analytics or ad scripts at all.

You can change your decision at any time by clicking Cookie preferences in the site footer. Switching from "Accept all" back to "Essential only" takes effect immediately: consent is set back to denied, Google Analytics cookies are deleted, and the page reloads so no analytics or ad script keeps running. Clearing your browser's site data will also clear your preference (the banner will reappear).

Your choices
